My name is Catriona PIRUZ. I’m 25 years old and I live in Malaysia. I married a Lebanese man (24 years old) in Malaysia and we had a daughter Elissa in 2004. In August 2005, the three of us went to Lebanon on vacation. Upon arriving, my husband and his family kept me locked away.

They tryed to force me to sign a divorce paper granting him the custody of our daughter; I refused. My child was then taken away from me.

As I was locked away, I was afraid they might kill me and make it look like an accident. I escaped as soon as I had the opportunity but I couldn’t save my daughter.

I went to the police and made a report but I learned later that my translator was my husband family’s friend! I was shocked to learn this.

I don’t have enough space to explain everything, but since then, with my mother’s help, we have tried to get Elissa back without success.
